Best of Asian cuisine in downtown Zagreb as Silk Street Food opens – Croatia Week

Zagreb, November 4, 2022 – In the very heart of the centre of Zagreb an unique pan-Asian restaurant has opened its doors.

Silk Street Food, which brings a touch of the popular cuisine from the Far East to the Croatian metropolis, serving an incredible selection of freshly prepared dishes has opened at Masarykova 18.  

Only established chefs from Asia work in the kitchen, and the menu offers everything from sushi and gyoza, to woks and classic meat meals such as Peking duck.

In the past few months since its opening, Silk Road Food has already established itself as a favourite destination for all lovers of Asian cuisine.  

The cafe offers its guests only the best of Pan-Asian cuisine, thanks to the fusion of various Eastern cuisines. The menu consists of several sections : sushi, main courses, small bites and dim sum, larger bites, wok food and soups.

In addition , Cotton Street Meals also serves a variety of Asian whiskeys plus gins, as well as Tsingtao, the beer in the second largest brewery in China.

The owner of the eating place, Dennis Bandack, a Chilean with Croatian roots who resides within Switzerland, brought this diner concept to Zagreb after successfully operating the business inside Korčula, Hvar, Split in addition to Dubrovnik.

The idea was born out of the owner’s desire to eat a good plate associated with Asian food somewhere.

“Silk Street Food is a place where you can enjoy authentic Asian street food. Authentic flavours, a wide selection of dishes and an unique atmosphere that cannot be experienced anywhere else is what makes us different and what we are extremely proud of. As a true lover regarding Asian food, I decided to pass on this love and passion to others. All our chefs come from Asia as established names, and we pay great attention to the particular freshness with the ingredients. For example , several times a week we carve whole tuna ourselves, while fresh salmon arrives every day, ” said Denis Bandack .

The interior on the restaurant is the vision of this owner himself, and he renovated the entire space himself with his team. They were guided by combining typically the incompatible, so , for example , there are irresistible Japanese chairs with a massive oak table in the space.

Along with neon signs and even traditional Japan elements, this painted walls, which were created especially for Man made fiber Street Foods by painter Anita Genc, cannot go unnoticed.

Man made fibre Street Your meals are open through Monday in order to Thursday coming from 12: 00 to 15: 00 and by 18: 00 to 23: 00, on Fridays and Saturdays via 12: 00 to 15: 00 and out of 18: 00 to midnight, while it is closed upon Sundays.
